Q. Do you cater for individuals, I can’t get a group together.
A. Yes we offer many trips for individuals. These trips are normally advertised on our front page. These trips are good if you only have 1-3 people and cannot get a group together.
Q. When is the best time to go to the Three Kings.
A. The Kingi’s and Bass are residents, they don’t migrate and are there all year round. Look back at some of our Facebook posts and you can see that the catches are very constant no matter what month you go.
Q. I don’t have the right tackle do you hire gear.
A. Yes we do Bait & Tackle packages for $65 per person a day based the number of days booked, this includes everything you need no extra charge for lost tackle. Or for people with most of their own gear you can just pay for what you use/lose.
Q. What type of rods do you hire out.
A. We have a variety of sets from Shinmano to Jigstar with 130lb braid. We don’t hire top water, soft bait or jigging equipment as this is very specialized and would work out very expensive to hire.
Q. Is my fishing rod and reel ok for the kings.
A. Reels need to hold 250mtrs of 100-130lb braid and the rod to match that breaking strain. Your reel needs to be able to produce up to 20kg of drag pressure.
Q. How can i get to the boat.
A. We can recommend ABC shuttles for all transfers to and from the boats. Phil takes many of our oversea clients and does a good job at a good price.

Q. What happens if the weather is bad.
A. The Three Kings has many options for bad weather, we can fish in the shelter of the islands or on either coast with some great results if the group doesn’t like the rough conditions. If the weather is really bad we will cancel and rebook you into the next available spot. Note if you cancel the trip because you don’t like the forecast you will lose your deposit. Once a deposit has been paid there are no refunds, if your trip is cancelled for unforeseen circumstances it will be rescheduled.
